Sleuth Star is a single-player offline detective game. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. This policy explains exactly what's stored, where, and why.

1. Data We Collect

Sleuth Star processes the following game data locally on your device only:

• Your fingerprints currency balance
• Items you've purchased from the in-game shop
• Cases you've solved or lost
• Your career rank progression and lifetime fingerprints earned
• Whether you've seen the intro

2. No Network Activity

Sleuth Star is a fully offline game. The app does not:

• Make any network requests, of any kind, to any server
• Connect to any analytics, advertising, or telemetry service
• Use any third-party SDK that transmits data
• Sync game progress to a cloud account

You can verify this by playing in airplane mode — the entire game works exactly the same.

3. No Accounts, No Login

Sleuth Star does not require an account, sign-in, or any form of registration. There is no username, password, email, phone number, or any personal identifier collected by the app.

4. Apple In-App Purchase

Sleuth Star does not include in-app purchases or subscriptions. The fingerprints currency is earned entirely through gameplay and cannot be bought.

5. Data Storage & Security

• All game progress is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults
• Game data is automatically protected by iOS Data Protection
• No data is backed up to our servers (no servers exist)
• Uninstalling the app removes all stored game data permanently

6. Tracking, Analytics, Advertising

Sleuth Star does not:

• Track your activity, location, or behavior
• Collect analytics, crash reports, or usage data
• Use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA)
• Display advertisements or partner with ad networks
• Use cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting techniques
• Contain any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs

7. Required-Reason API Disclosure

The app uses the following Apple required-reason API, declared in the app's privacy manifest:

• UserDefaults (CA92.1): To store app preferences and game progress on the user's device.

8. Children's Privacy

Sleuth Star is rated 12+ for mild thematic violence (the game features fictional crime narratives including theft, robbery, and murder). The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

9. Your Rights

Because no data ever leaves your device, your data is fully under your control:

• Uninstall the app at any time to remove all game progress
• Reset progress by uninstalling and reinstalling
• You do not need to contact us to delete your data — we never had it

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store version notes.
